Around the world, the rise of political polarisation, toxic public debate, and eroding trust in institutions are leaving people discouraged and divided. Global challenges like climate change, war, and economic inequality seem insurmountable and lead individuals feeling powerless to make a difference.
Yet there is a way forward: learning how to navigate conflict with clarity and purpose. Real change begins by learning to understand different perspectives and by connecting across lines of difference.
To address these challenges, the Institute for Global Negotiation (IGN) is teaming up with local partners to host a series of in-person workshops around the world between mid-September and mid-October. At the workshops participants will gain practical tools to constructively handle conflict and be emboldened to take meaningful action at the local, national and global level.
The project will culminate with an online interactive workshop on United Nations Day on the 24th October for all participants and the wider public where a group of participants and facilitators shares insights from their event and a keynote speaker discusses challenges and opportunities to overcome divisions.

The Events
Each event is organised by a local partner who sets the conditions for registration and decides whether an event is public or closed to a specific audience such as university students.
