Eleah Paetsch
Communications Officer
Eleah Paetsch holds a bachelor degree in Political Science and Law from the University of Zurich. She currently works as a Public Affairs Intern at a communications agency in Zurich, where she applies her political insights to strategic messaging and stakeholder engagement. Starting in September, she will pursue a Master’s degree in International Relations to further specialize in global governance, driven by a keen interest in the role of professional negotiation as a vital tool for building bridges and finding sustainable solutions.
She spent an exchange semester at Butler University in the United States of America, focusing on international politics and peace studies, and dedicated her thesis to the intersection of press freedom and institutional reforms within EU accession. Her professional background is rooted at the core of Swiss politics, having served as the Secretary General of the Jungfreisinnige Schweiz and as a personal assistant to a former member of the National Council.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Eleah finds balance by spending time outdoors and exploring cultural events, with a particular interest in film festivals.
She joined the IGN as a Communications Officer in January 2026.
