Naomi Zander

Naomi Zander holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Philipps-University Marburg. Her academic work focuses on international governance, international institutions, and conflict mediation. She broadened her perspective through studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Sabancı University in Istanbul, where she focused her research interests on the psychology of intergroup conflicts, conflict transformation, as well as mediation and negotiation practices in the Middle East.
In her Master’s thesis, Naomi examined media discourses on the legitimacy of international institutions and their relationship with conflict dynamics, combining interests in governance, media studies, and conflict transformation. Driven by a strong commitment to international cooperation and peaceful conflict resolution, she gained practical experience through an internship with the German Society for Development Cooperation (GIZ) and contributed to the organization of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference 2025.
Since May 2026, Naomi serves as Outreach and Event Lead for the Journal for Global Negotiation, where she contributes to strengthen academic engagement with negotiation, to foster dialogue between scholars and practitioners, and to encourage innovative approaches to negotiation research and practice.
