Sanjana Kulkarni

Partnerships Officer

Sanjana Kulkarni is a lawyer turned climate policy professional working at the intersection of sustainable development, climate finance and regional partnerships across South Asia. Along with a degree in law, she holds an MSc in Climate Change, Development and Policy from University of Sussex and Institute of Development Studies (IDS) as a Chancellor's Scholar. Her work spans global think tanks and public institutions, where she has advanced strategic collaborations on climate action, urban resilience, and sustainable finance, most recently at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) in India. Beyond this, Sanjana is deeply committed to youth climate advocacy. She represents the Adaptation Working Group of YOUNGO, the official children and youth constituency to the UNFCCC, where she helps shape youth engagement in global climate negotiations. Her work is driven by a belief that meaningful progress demands not just technical solutions but solidarity across generations, borders, and movements.

At the Institute for Global Negotiation (IGN), Sanjana supports the development of impactful grant partnerships that reflect this vision, centering equity, amplifying underrepresented voices, and building bridges across institutions to enable transformative change. She serves as Partnerships Officer (Grants) within the Partnerships Portfolio Team.
