
Vera E. Hauser
Head of Communications
Vera is a graduate student in International Affairs and Governance at the University of St.Gallen. She works as a Junior Researcher at the IMP-HSG (Institute for Public Management and Governance) focusing on rationalities in international trade.
She graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Political Science and Communications from the University of Zurich (UZH). In 2022, she spent a semester abroad in Morocco at Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique in Rabat. Specialising in Governance, her thesis focused on the democratic legitimacy of governance structures in the Swiss funeral service industry.
As a political scientist with previous work experience with the British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce and the Institute for Political Science at the University of Zurich, she enjoys to operate at the junction of different disciplines and industries, building bridges in the process. She has a keen interest in the negotiation of governance solutions that reflect the complexity and multitude of affected perspectives; especially in international trade.
In June 2023 she joined the Management Team as the first IGN Head of Communications. Previously, she was a Project Fellow of the Institute after participating in the Global Negotiation Conference 2022.
